Seward Parks & Recreation's
Sounds like an oxy-moron, but Seward received a grant from Nickelodeon's Big Help to beautify and spruce up our garbage dumpsters. So we sand-blasted 'em down to bare metal, coated them and brought in local artist, Susan Swiderski to finish the dumpsters the spring of 2001. Our dumpsters are works of art. Take a walk along the bikepath or through our campgrounds, and you'll notice the refreshing scenes and positive expressions.
And in 2004, we again coupled Susan with our Teen & Youth Center participants to get after the garbage. We painted the Harbor dumpsters. See below.
