        Intern:
SPRD is very interested in hosting an intern in a parks and recreation or related degree program. The down-side we admit right up front is that our department does not offer housing nor pay. (Summer interns may have the opportunity to serve as a campground host.) Of course, if we can combine a job vacancy with an internship, everyone wins! We will be pleased to converse with an intern who has reviewed our programs and is interested in working within the above parameters. Best wishes in your studies and career goals! REGISTRATION - How to...

bullet    1. Find the class you want
bullet    2. Complete the registration form
bullet    3. Call to verify deadline dates or availability
bullet    4. Submit the form with your payment

You can register for classes, events and tournaments at any SPRD program site. You will be required to submit a SPRD registration form and a signed waiver along with the class fee.

You can usually save money paying the earlybird fee; it's usually due one week earlier than the regular fee. Pre-registration is easy and essential to each class's success. The earlier you register, the better.

How can I pay?

bullet        1. US Mail

Send to: SPRD / PO Box 167 / Seward, AK / 99664-0167
Use the registration form, include the payment. Checks are to: SPRD

bullet        2. Credit Card

Stop by in person or call. Sports & Rec: (907)224.4054
You'll still be required to send in your registration form, but this is a great way to secure your place early, or maybe you like to collect frequent flyer miles.

bullet        3. Walk In

Hey, this is Seward; this is Alaska. Most people still prefer face-to-face business transactions, and we are here for you.
TYC is at 3rd & Jefferson
Sports & Rec is in the AVTEC Gym at 519 4th Avenue
Community Schools is at the Junior High School, teacher's faculty lounge - closed during summer months
City Hall: We no longer have offices here, but in a pinch, you could stop by the Utility Counter to pay. The downside to this venue is that SPRD staff are not on hand to inform you if the class is full or to answer detailed questions. But sometimes, City Hall is the most convenient, and we are happy to have it available for you.
