Seward Parks & Recreation Department's ...

Like a menu, we have many options from which to choose for your generous donations. Here are some of the options. Let us know if you have a better idea. Here are programs we do for fund-raising, or you can check out our sponsor page for more ideas.

$ TYC Teen Council As the teens and youth learn valuable skills and life-lessons, they also earn money toward improvements to the overall TYC program. The Teen Council proudly remains a part of the City of Seward and the SPRD Department.  224.5472

$ the Snack Shack The SPRD Staff manages the operation of a Snack/concession stand in the TYC, while the many volunteers of all three Councils work selling & preparing foods. Interested volunteers complete a thorough training program and then enjoy the prestige and fun experience of quick serving the throng of patrons. Parents may limit spending or the types of snacks or meals available at the snack room. Kids can choose a full meal on Day Camp or School Break Camp days.

$ Sewardopoly  This fun, family board-game lists all your Seward, favorite locations and stores. Move your game piece around the board, buy real estate and hotels, amassing your local fortune. All the while, enjoy Seward's history and future. The board game was created to commemorate our 100th anniversary in 2003. It's a collector's piece you really need to own and enjoy. It's also the perfect Christmas gift. Buy your game for only $25.

$ Community Coupon Books This is an annual TYC Council fund-raiser. Usually we'll have about 100 coupons and $1,600 worth of savings on all the great businesses, opportunities, lodging, restaurants, stores, parking and recreational tours in and outside of town. However, right now - do we have the deal for you! With 60+ coupons still valid, you can buy this book for only $10. What a bargain! Catch us right now at Sports & Rec, the TYC, City Hall, Once In A Blue Moose or Stylin’ Stitches.
Unlike the cumbersome coupon books you've seen before, our handy, conveniently-sized book fits into your back pocket or purse. It's organized by type of business and color-coded. "You need one," is basically what we're sayin'.
Thanks to the many businesses who advertise (for free) in our coupon book. We appreciate your constant support of the TYC.

$ Concession Stand North Next summer, stop by the TYC's Concession Stand at Jon Perry & Citizen's Ballfields. We'll have fired up the grill, so you can get a hot dawg or a burger. Wash it down with a cold soda or bottled water. We'll even serve some candy for the kids.

$ TYC Gear Cool logo gear: hats, polar fleece vests, t-shirts, jackets are more are available for your purchase to proudly show your support. The small profit goes to the TYC Council Fund. Call Josie or Shari at 224.5472

                 $
A Penny for Your Tots  Yah, it's a cute play on words, but we're serious. We're collecting pennies for the TYC program. Many of the games and even some equipment is from the TYC Council fund and fund-raisers. Help us out by tossing in your spare change in marked cans around town. Thanks!

$ Adopt-A-Park tree memorials, gardens, memorial bricks, etc...

$ Youth Scholarship Fund Occasionally, private citizens contribute to this special fund to help youth and teens participate in recreation programs. Adults can recommend any child whose family may not be able to pay for a short class or a daily program. Donations to the Fund are always graciously accepted. 224.4054.

$ Event Sponsorship Your business or agency can sponsor an annual &/or special SPRD event.
