DJ Club:
You mean, I can get paid money for playin' music? The TYC (Teen & Youth Center) offered a DJ & lights class last spring. Now current and new club members can continue learning about DJ-ing dances through hosting real dances with the TYC and in the community. Members must sign a contract and - after the valuable training experience - start earning real money.

Did you know?
        ... the term "DJ" comes from the old days when music was imprinted onto large, vinyl "discs" or record albums. The staff (usually men, in those days) would select the playlist order and the tunes. And they would jostle or "jockey" around the various albums with skill and talent. Thus, they became Disc Jockeys, record-playing artisans.

The Teen & Youth Center mission is to provide and facilitate social, educational and recreational activities for the teens and youths of our community. The Teen & Youth Center staff strives to improve and promote the TYC programs for our  facility. The staff is professionally committed to offering positive opportunities and choices, as well as a safe and accepting environment.
