21) Kirkpatrick Collection – 1 album
Contains photographs and post cards of Alaskan (including Seward) flora and fauna,
hunting, fishing, dog sledding and the Richardson Highway after an earthquake in the 1930s.
Also includes a newspaper clipping of Miss Alaska 1939.
22) Oversized Photos Collection – 1 box
Contains large photographs of some Seward scenery, the Swetman California home,
and enlargements of other photos, like a photo of the Seward founding. Also, photos
pertaining to AK in general, including several photos of senators from Alaska's
first legislature.
23) The Obihiro Sister City Collection – 2 boxes
Contains materials received from Obihiro, Japan and documented trips to our Sister City.
Includes photographs, magazines, books, postcards, cloth, and a scrapbook.
25) Neville F. Hodson Collection – 1 album, 1 box
Contains paper memorabilia belonging to Neville Hodson, including photos of
planes and other popular scenery subjects, personal telegrams and news-clippings,
slides, numerous containers of film, and several reels of small and large video film.
26) BPW Club of Seward Collection – 4 boxes
Contains records and ledgers from Seward's Business and Professionals Woman's Club,
including membership information and club minutes. Also included are photographs of
club gatherings and events.
27) Seward Public School Collection – 1 box
Contains paper materials pertaining to schools in Seward, AK during the 50's and 60's.
Includes records of enrollment, blue prints and audits.
28) D. C. Brownell Collection – 1 album
Contains photographs of the city of Seward and residents' activities from early
1900's to 1940's. Included are photos of dog sledding, hunting, ships, and a dance
given for a Navy ship with many figures identified from the collection of Alice Brownell.
29) E. E. Chamberlain Collection – 1 album
Contains paper materials belonging to Chamberlain, a former mayor of Seward.
Includes correspondence regarding coal, legal cases, bank of Seward transactions,
the cemetery, and a portrait.
30) U. S. Army Corps of Engineers Collection – 1 album
Contains photographs of Seward and reconstruction directly following the 1964 earthquake.
