South Central Alaska's Playground
The City of Seward is South Central Alaska’s playground. A remarkable and vibrant community of 3000 people, Seward is located 125 miles south of Anchorage at the beginning (mile 0) of the Seward Highway. Here you'll find easy access to Exit Glacier, Kenai Fjords National Park, fishing, kayaking, camping, flight-seeing, and an assortment of other activities.

Seward welcomes a variety of vessels that make up our commercial fishing fleet: long-liners, purse-seiners, and gill-netters. The area has over 100 charter boat operators and a dozen tour boat operators to help you enjoy the Kenai Fjords National Park and beyond. We are the proud home port of the US Coast Guard Cutter Mustang and we routinely welcome members of the US Naval Fleet.

We are a full service port with 50-ton and 250-ton Travelifts, a 5000-ton Synchrolift, boat repair yards, potable water and power utilities, hardware stores, grocery stores, art galleries, restaurants, hotels and many other amenities to meet every need.
Established in 1964, Seward's Harbor has grown and continues to develop today. Major renovation projects began in 2000 with the replacement of our aging float system and upgraded utilities. New floats, ramps, and fish cleaning stations have dramatically improved the accessibility to our facilities.

We constantly strive to maintain our status as one of the premier ports in the Pacific. We have a talented and dedicated staff, always ready to provide you quality service through teamwork and continuous attention to detail.

“I invite you to come visit Seward, Alaska’s marine adventure capital. Discover the many services our port has to offer and a variety of ways to experience the natural beauty of this area. The Seward Small Boat Harbor is a fantastic place to begin your journey or home-port your vessel.”
